Locally produced (more-or-less) by local people, some of whom I have befriended, partly as a result of the market. Furthermore, having such a market spreads the idea of locally produced and controlled food and spreads production ideas for small growers.

Locally grown produce means fresher produce and less consumption of energy because of less transportation. More money stays in the county and in nearby counties.

Local farmers grow a better quality produce than any you can buy in the supermarket. It is fresher and healthier for you to. It is also grown by our friends, neighbors, and in some cases family members so you feel you can trust the people you buy from.

We go there every week and love supporting our local farmers! The people are very friendly and we always find great items.

Buy local- support local people- reduce fossil fuel use by limiting your trips AND by not supporting global transport of out-of-season produce! Farmers markets do so much for local people!

There is no actual info about the market that is being reviewed. Several other reviews above it did exactly the same. This is supposed to be a review of A SPECIFIC MARKET, not a lecture on the value of local produce. This is a big problem on this website. Too many smug "foodies" and Stalinist health movement types. I need REAL INFO, please.
