Thank you for inquiring about Hanson Family Farms lamb, goat and pork. Our animals are treated humanely and treated with respect. They go out in the pastures during the day and come in closer at night because our guardian dogs and horses can only cover so much area. Visitors are always amazed at how friendly our breeding herd is - the herd knows us and looks forward to the time we spend with them. Our product is raised locally, born and pastured here on the ranch, fed a diet that is healthy and wholesome with no antibiotics, no hormones and no growth enhancers. We started raising pigs, then added lamb and then goats because we wanted to know what we were eating and did not want any preservatives or chemicals in our food source. The sheep are Dorsets, they have a high meat to bone ratio, so more in your freezer; the goats are meat goats and the pigs are Berkshires, a heritage breed, known to the Japanese as Kurobuta - the only pigs with marbling for a mouth-watering delight to your taste buds! ****We also sell PEPPERONI & TERIYAKI GOATSTICKS for snacks and lunchboxes.**** We hope that you will enjoy this fresh, young, tender meat and serve it with pride and pleasure to your friends and family.
