Natural Grass-Fed Jersey Cow Raw Milk and Worm Castings Our name reflects our view of the relationship between ourselves, the earth, the fruits she brings forth, and those who are nourished by those gifts. Our conviction is that our food is produced naturally, free of petroleum-based pesticides or fertilizers, and is the way food is meant to be grown. We oppose those practices that degrade soil quality, contaminate the air and water, and result in produce of inferior quality in terms of taste and nutrition. We aspire to implement the healthiest farming practices for our environment, community, and bodies. Our ahimsa (non-violent, no-kill) micro dairy consists of 4 jersey cows milking and 3 retired cows. All of our cows have 100% access to organic pastures and fresh well water. The milking cows get a small amount of organic grain during milking and are supplemented with all natural nutrient-dense fermented alfalfa. All of our milking cows have been rescued from industrial dairies where their days were surely numbered. We will milk them until they naturally stop sharing their milk, which could be several years, and then we protect them for the rest of their lives. By not breeding our cows, but rather rescuing them, our herd does not add to the environmental strain placed upon the earth by typical "cow mills". In accordance with NC state law, our organic raw milk is labeled and sold for pets only. It is not legal to sell raw milk for human consumption in NC. You can pick up at our farm in Rutherfordton. We also deliver weekly to Hendersonville (Sundays) and Asheville (Wednesdays).
