Receive fresh, local produce while supporting local individuals with developmental disabilities!
Orchard Village's Farm and Gardening Program provides an innovative and healthy solution for local families while creating meaningful employment opportunities for the people with developmental disabilities that we serve.
Orchard Village’s Farm Program participants are paid to produce Garden Membership boxes every growing season that contain fresh vegetables grown with organic methods onsite at Orchard Village. With the help of partner organization The Talking Farm, each box is planted, tended, and harvested by program participants, who gain valuable job skills and purpose through this work.
The Garden Membership is $250. With the membership, a family can receive eight boxes of vegetables during the growing season from June to September. We will deliver the boxes if a member lives less than 5 miles away from Orchard Village. Orchard Village also donates excess produce to the Niles Township Food Pantry for free distribution to their patrons.
