Livestock raised on pasture are not only delicious, but higher in omega 3 fatty acids and other nutrients which are essential for heart health, and reducing the risk of allergies, arthritis, autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, and obesity.
Calves are born and raised by their dam, on farm. Cattle are available as grain or grass finished. Sows farrow on pasture, and piglets free range until they are 4-5 months old. Piglets are weaned after 8 weeks of age, and have access to the outdoors, soil, and large bales of straw, hay, or haylage.
All of our livestock are managed in a humane manner. Chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides are never used on our farm. Antibiotics are only used when animals become ill and alternative treatments have not worked.
