Great Brook Farm was established in 1761 and has been passed from father to son, with the 10th generation working on the farm now. We have always been a dairy farm and we milk 85 cows with a total of 150 animals on the farm. We make our own hay, (round and square bales) & put in 100 acres of field corn. In January, taking the lead from other family farms, we opened our farm store called The Milkhouse. We sell raw cow's milk in 1/2 gallon glass, 1/2 gallon plastic and gallon plastic. We also sell "our own" ground beef, Boggy Meadow cheese & organic eggs. Our family sugar house provides maple products in our store as well. Andy and Dave will bottle up special orders for Christmas presents, wedding gifts, etc. We believe that the public is looking for fresh local products and we can provide them. Our farm is known for raising and training steers and oxen. We have 2 pairs on the farm now. We welcome visitors interested in learning more about the dairy business. Our farm has been listed in the top 15 in the United States for continually run family dairy farms.
