Discovery Gardens Hanford

Organic U-Pick at Discovery Gardens typically runs in July and August until sold out. Harvest dates and times vary depending on the weather. See website for U-Pick hours or give us a call to schedule an appointment. We grow sweet Dapple Fire pluots (plum/apricot) and plums. Free samples. We also have friendly farm animals and nice restrooms. Beside U-Pick we also offer a hands on garden program called Discovery Gardens. You basically rent a garden that we maintain for you so all you have to do is come to the classes and take home the harvest. During the classes you will learn to plant, tend and harvest to maximize production. All the seeds and plants are included. You can choose from heirloom and unique varieties in our Garden Guide Catalog. Our gardens are organically grown. The program runs from April to September and classes are offered every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Members may come to whichever class fits their schedule best. For the past two years we have averaged 400 lbs per 100 square ft gardens. (with 508 pounds being the record high) So if you have a small family you may split it with a friend.
