Tiny Seed Farm's CSA is a weekly share of what our fields are growing right now — harvested within a day of reaching you, OEFFA certified organic, from the historic Kretschmann Family Organic Farm in Rochester, PA.
What's in a box: 7 to 12 items depending on share size and season, following the arc of the year. Early summer brings salad mixes, head lettuce, radishes, hakurei turnips, and tender greens; high summer means heirloom and cherry tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, summer squash, and fresh herbs; fall turns to carrots, potatoes, winter squash, broccoli, kale, leeks, and frost-sweetened roots. Most weeks include a staple or two, something leafy, something seasonal at its peak, and occasionally something you've never cooked before — with a note on what it is and what to do with it.
Members get a real say: our member portal lets you set preferences (hate beets? noted — permanently), request swaps, place vacation holds, and track your delivery live on box day. Boxes come weekly or every other week, picked up at a neighborhood stop, at the farm, or home-delivered. And if a crop fails or something's not right, we make it right — that's the deal.
