Lokelani 'Ohana creates socially therapeutic programs within our community with elements of native Hawaiian culture and tradition for adults with developmental disabilities. One of the programs we run is in biodynamic gardening. Our farm is located on old Hawaiian land on the North shore of Maui, Hawaii. The land presents a combination of established and newer fruit trees with terraces of taro, potatoes and many varieties of vegetables and herbs. We presently sell our produce to the local health food stores. The farm also grows cotton and other products for a second program we offer the community in Saori Weaving. We work with people from Mediaid Waiver Programs and enjoy working with wwoofers for the last three years from around the world. We are a vibrant sustainable ohana where adults with developmental disabilities live, learn, and work together with reverence for spirit, creativity and nature supporting each other's potential and sharing a life of purpose.
