Willow Ridge Organic Farm

First certified organic in 1974, I've farmed this land continuously, most recently under the name Sweet Earth Organic Farm. Due to a large food company using the name Sweet Earth, I've been required to change my farm's name. I'm taking the opportunity to roll out the new name, Willow Ridge Organic Farm, while I mark the 40 year anniversary of both my foray into farming and my first organic certification. The name Willow Ridge comes from my location atop a ridge in the exquisite Driftless Area of Southwestern Wisconsin, an area that escaped the glaciers, resulting in deeply carved river valleys and stunning views. A large willow tree outside my home has long served as a playground and refuge for my children (and now for my grandchildren). I sell at selected farmers markets in Chicago (my hometown) and through my Chicago-area CSA. Please join me in celebrating my anniversaries!
