We are a dairy goat farm and we produce artisan, farmstead cheeses with milk from our nubian goats and from organic jersey cow milk from our partner farm, Clovercrest Dairy. We are an open farm and offer tours of the cheese-making facility and the farm. We also offer an apprenticeship through MOFGA (Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Assoc.) We are also looking to take on some Wwoofers this season with some of the various projects we are working on our farm Our farm consists of about 100 acres of field and woods that have overgrown what used to be fields. We rotationally graze our goats and are working with their help to re-claim much of the land. For the 2011 season we will also be training a team of oxen to help with the wood-lot. We work hard to ensure the highest quality milk production and at the same time, the highest quality of life for our goats. We produce yogurt and many types of cheese from soft, fresh Chevre to Cheddar, Gouda, Tomme, Camembert and mozarella. Give us a call if you'd like to come for a visit. Every day is Open Creamery Day at Olde Oak Farm! You can find us at the Orono Farmer's Market, Skowhegan Farmer's market and the Brewer Farmer's Market. If you can't make it to market, stop by Bangor Wine and Cheese in downtown Bangor, Maine and ask for Olde Oak Farm cheese. You can also find us on Facebook!
