We are a small family farm dedicated to producing exceptional milk from exceptional goats. Our clients get their raw goat milk through our herd share program, which is the legal way for raw milk to change hands in Alaska. We are currently milking twelve Alpine goats, who are able to graze spring through fall, and are fed local grass hay plus alfalfa during the winter months. Our goats are supplemented with a corn & soy-free grain ration, sea kelp, and organically derived minerals. We routinely treat lactating or food-producing animals holistically, without antibiotics, hormones, or chemicals.
We have beautiful registered French and American Alpine kids available in the spring and summer as future milking does and pack wethers. Our bloodlines have been carefully chosen to produce excellence in conformation as well as bounty in the milk pail; and the entire herd is blood-tested yearly for CAE, CL, and Johne's. Our show, appraisal, health, and milk test records are available for inspection.
Our livestock guardians of choice are Maremma Sheepdogs, which is an Italian breed similar to Great Pyrenees. We anticipate having one litter per year, so ask us to put your name on our waiting list for a puppy if interested in having a fabulous flock or herd guardian of your own. Visit our Cottonwood Creek Farm Facebook page to see pictures of the dogs, as well as the goats.
We also offer brown and green eggs from uncaged laying hens and ducks, and kefir, yogurt, and kombucha starter cultures. Chicks (both laying & meat breeds), turkeys, and ducks are available spring through fall. Farm tours are possible with an appointment made in advance.
We have raw goat milk shares available year round! Or if you're interested in milking your own goat, call now to get on our waiting list for a doe kid or milker. Not ready to make a full-time commitment to year-round goat ownership? Ask us about our "foster goat" program, or sign up for one of our part-time relief milker positions. You'll discover in no time why goats have become the fastest growing sector of the livestock industry!

We have recently moved to Alaska and are grateful to have been able to join the herdshare program at Cottonwood Creek Farm. Having been a part of several farms across the country and both cow and goat dairies, I just wasn't sure how the transition to 100% goat milk would go over with my two little ones.... [more]
