We raise CCOF certified organic grass fed and finished beef, sheep and goats on well-watered slopes overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Mattole River. Animal density is low (less than 100 head on 2000 acres) which means low stress for the stock.
During this time of drought, our pastures are still healthy and vibrant because we employ a reserve system of pasturing. Each pasture rests for at least 6 months (incorporating some major rainfall in that period) before we bring the stock back.
You can purchase live animals and we will arrange for field slaughtering on the farm and custom butchering in Ferndale. This produces the best and most tender beef available - no tense slaughterhouse industrial experience or adrenaline pumped meat on your dinner table.
