Great Farm & Great People
By: Keith Schulz (Aug 10, 2011)
Since moving to Waupaca from Santa Barbara, CA in the Fall of 2008 I've struggled to find the same quality produce and meat that I wa accustom to buying at our local farmer's markets there. Whitefeather Organics LLC has brought me back home in a way I never imagined. The quality of the produce is amazing and the variety has helped me expand my kitchen repertoire beyond where I ever thought possible. I'll never be the same when it comes to mushrooms...shitake, oyster, (and soon to come reishi mushrooms that were inoculated spring 2011) taste phenomenal. Can't wait for the reishi mushrooms!
Tony and Laura are truly kind people with an amazing work ethic. Go to one of their events (Example: Spring Mushroom Workshop that I attended this past year) and it's evident that the community has embraced this farm as much as they have.
Amazing, delicious, so exciting!

I love Whitefeather Organics! The food is amazing. The variety is incredible. We have discovered so many new veggies that we never would have purchased from the store and we have learned to try new things and ways to prepare them. I decided to try a CSA after being disappointed and disgusted with the quality of the produce in our store and I am so glad I did-- and that I got so lucky to find this farm on my first try. We have been toying with the idea of phasing out meat, and getting this box every week has made it so much easier to make vegetables a focal point of our meals. I just get giddy on Thursday while I watch the clock until it's time to go see what we get to eat this week.

The Whitefeather's know where it's at! Beautiful produce, perfect amounts of everything in each box, variety! They have strawberries, shiitake mushrooms, fresh garlic, mint, and not just a whole box full of overgrown zucchini! Well worth every penny!

We are thrilled with this CSA! The care and hard work the Whitefeathers put into the farm really shines through in their produce. The quality and variety of the boxes each week is wonderful, and everything is extremely clean and fresh. Even picky eaters have been wowed by the flavor and happily eat veg they previously declared "yucky" when it came from the supermarket. Pick up is convenient and quick. Opening the box each week and planning meals around the treats inside has become one of the highlights of our week. Everything has exceeded our expectations. Our only regret is that we didn't sign up for the storage share when we enrolled in the summer share, but we are signing up for the storage share now so that we can enjoy the fruits of their labor even longer.
Great Winter Share

We are SO happy with our winter share. It is mid March and we are still eating fresh carrots, onions, garlic and more! What an excellent variety and truly tasty food. Great job and thanks for the hard work.

I love this CSA! I have been very happy with the amount and variety of produce that is in the box every week. I've never had damaged produce and it is usually relatively clean so that prep time is reduced. Their customer service is very good, too; Tony was very friendly when I called to see if my payment had arrived. I am also happy that the cost of this CSA is less than others, even though the service is better. I look forward each week to seeing what the box will bring and I'm really looking forward to seeing what the winter share will bring. I definitly recommend this CSA!

This is an update to my post. This was my second year in this CSA, and I am still extremely happy with this farm and the produce they provide each week. There was even more in the boxes each week than there was last year, and the variety and quality of the produce was still amazing. It comes very clean (still cleaning required, but not as much as with other CSAs) and very fresh.
