Subarashii Kudamono

Subarashii Kudamono, is a grower of gourmet Asian Pears in Eastern Pennsylvania (Lehigh Valley/Berks County region). Subarashii Kudamono means 'wonderful fruit' in Japanese and we believe our Asian Pears are the most wonderful fruit! Our orchard specializes in heirloom grown fruit (maximum sun penetration) and is known for not only growing traditional varieties of Asian Pears (varieties commonly found in Japan and the Far East) but varieties exclusive to Pennsylvania. Several decades ago, Subarashii began cultivating its own varieties, wanting to offer the most amazing culinary experience in fresh fruit. The flavors of our unique pears range from: citrus, to butterscotch, to cashew to melon to many other flavor characteristics. In the off-season, so that we may be sustainable as a grower, we produce all-natural dried Asian Pears, gourmet Asian Pear Spread, Asian Pear Blossom Honey and an exciting portfolio of wines and spirits produced from our unique varieties of pears. Our wines range in flavor profiles similar to Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling-style, Ice Wine-style, Clear Brandy and soon to be release Asian Pear Vodka and Asian Pear Sparkling Wines.
