Blue Moon Farm in Hunterdon County, New Jersey is historic and beautiful. It is part of the original Hawk Farm purchased in 1819 for $3,420. Slowly, we are trying to re-establish its nobility after years of neglect.

Our vision and commitment is to sustainable agriculture and humanely raised animal products. Our heritage breed chickens, turkeys and Dexter Cattle are raised on pasture. Farm fresh pasture raised eggs are available for a reasonable price and fresh produce is available seasonally. We make a luxurious hand crafted natural shea butter soap "for bathing and shaving", as well as "fat soap" made from fresh rendered lard right here on the farm.

In the Spring we offer 'Purple Asparagus', oh so sweet and the summer brings our gourmet hardneck garlic which is 'the best you ever roasted!'

Our heritage breed chickens for both meat and eggs pasture beautifully and much prefer the bugs they find outdoors to the nutritionally correct feed available inside.

Our Dexter cattle are the perfect dual-purpose breed for a small farm. We grow organic produce for ourselves and enough extra to share with our community at the local farmer's market.

From June to September, we can be found at the Frenchtown Community Farmers Market at 62 Trenton Ave. Frenchtown, NJ on Saturdays from 10 AM - 2 PM.
