I started out growing heirloom crinum, amaryllis and lycoris bulbs that have been grown by my family since the 1950's . These bulbs are extremely heat , drought and cold tolerant , pest and disease resistant . In 2001 , I started growing organic vegetables for the Brownwood Area Farmers Market . The garden includes a very wide variety of vegetables , herbs , figs , edible and cut flowers . I also offer shelled pecans in the fall .
