This 5 acre tract has been in my family for generations. I have grown up on the farm and enjoyed the fruits of their labors. This property has not seen any commercial fertilizers, herbicides or other chemicals in over 35 years. The garden area was reopened in 2002 upon my retirement.
I use only organic methods in all my gardening; rotted manures, mulching, organic fertilizers & cover crops. Crop rotation is on a three year cycle. I belong to the Massachusetts chapter of N.O.F.A. and am certified naturally grown.
Along with vegetable gardening, I raise goats, broilers, turkeys, laying hens and pork. I also have a variety of fruit trees. I truly believe we are what we eat.
As a hobby, I raise bedding plants, vegetable flats & poinsettias.
