Cottage Pastures specializes in pasture-raised meat, eggs and open-pollinated (heirloom) produce. Here you can find Grass-Finished Beef, Pasture-Raised Chicken, eggs, Indiana grown garlic and delicious produce.
At Cottage Pastures, our ruminant animals are raised on a diet of primarily forage. For animals that we regularly provide supplemental feed (e.g., Pasture-Raised Chicken), we are meticulous about using ingredients that are organic approved, non-gmo and soy-free.
Our produce is grown without the use of synthetic chemicals, herbicides, insecticides or anything else we ourselves do not want to eat. We strive to build better soil conditions that help to produce delicious and nutritious produce.
We are increasingly growing produce that supports homesteading and gardeners. In additional to seasonal produce offerings, we offer garlic (seed and table) and a significant amount of squash and pumpkins.
Cottage Pastures regularly provides farm and homestead tours - here you can see how the produce is grown and animals raised. These tours often serve as a point of discussion designed to help guests learn how to begin homesteading or build on current gardening and animal stewardship.
