September's Herbs and Produce

We are a small, local and community oriented grower located in Montague, Michigan. We provide a diverse variety of produce, herbs and cut flowers for the greater Montague area. We are dedicated to the idea that small local growers can supply our communities with seasonal produce, herbs, and flowers. We have seen a change in the way people look at the food they consume from years previous, and believe our communities should always have a choice in where their food comes from. We specialize in unique, mostly heirloom and old fashioned, varieties of produce and herbs. We have the advantage of not selecting our varieties by how well they store and ship, but by their taste and flavor. We are committed to growing these varieties because we believe in the importance of our agricultural history and heritage. Our growing methods are pretty straight forward. We do not use synthetic chemicals, no exceptions. We always look at our growing production in a holistic way, keeping in mind that we are only one part of the environment and any disruption should be minimized. We understand the importance of fostering an environment that is diverse not only for the birds and bugs, but also for the bacteria, fungi, nematodes, and protozoa. We are certified by the Partner's for Sustainable Pollination as a Bee Friendly Grower and are proud members of the Michigan Organic Food and Farm Alliance.
