We are a farrow to finish operation, raising heritage Large Black and Gloucestershire Old Spots pigs, in hopes to reestablish these endangered rare breeds. We offer pasture pork, and piglets for those that want to raise their own. Our pigs are fed organic local feed, nuts, veggies, given lots of love, free range, and really do graze. We raise slow pigs, by rationing their grains, and encouraging grazing, for a more flavorful pork. We choose this breed in part because of their grazing ability,their lightness on the land, rareness, tasty marbled meat and their awesome personality. These pigs are gentle and fun to be around, even our boar is gentle and loving. We offer pastured pork, piglets and an introduction to what we are doing here. The pigs are being used to restore the prairie with a patch burn graze method. Seasonally we offer Farm-Stays and workshops, please inquire.
