McDougal Orchards is a diversified family farm in Southern Maine specializing in the production of high quality apples for sale u-pick and at our Farm Store. Located just a mile from downtown Sanford, the farm has been owned and operated by the same family for seven generations. McDougal Orchard's scenic location and proximity to the beaches and lakes of York County make it an extremely desirable day-trip location in the summer and fall for tree fruit, fall raspberries, pumpkins, gourds and so much more. Customers pass through the dooryard of the historic farmhouse on their way to pick apples in the orchards behind the house, or stop to buy ready-picked fruit in the Farm Store. There are usually fresh cider donuts out in Capt. Jack's Donut Shack as well! Picnic areas, a fairy village and corn maze, and the Orchard Education Center are available for kids of all ages to enjoy. Plus, there's always a family member around to fill you in on the history of the place or how best to prune that old apple tree in your backyard. Stop by soon!
