Pinelog Family Farms

A little about our farm...We are Pinelog Family Farms located in Fairmount, GA. This is our 8th growing season, and we currently grow on about 6 acres. In 2011 we began a CSA in Cartersville. We grow a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and select cut flowers. We have sold at the F.A.R.M. market in Smyrna, the Sandy Springs Farmers Market (SSFM), and to restaurants including South City Kitchen and Muss & Turners. During the 2009 growing season, we participate in the Georgia Organics mentoring program as mentees (georgiaorganics.org). We are also Certified Naturally Grown. In a nutshell, this means that we do not spray ANY chemicals on or add ANY synthetic fertilizers to our plants. We use natural growing methods including crop rotations, cover crops (green manures), composting, etc. We start all of our seeds in our own greenhouse, so we know where they've been. This year, most of our fruit is in "transition" to being Certified Naturally Grown. Most everything is harvested the day of delivery/market! Come join our CSA!
