Gravatt's gardening program began in 2009 with a few small garden boxes and a lot of hope. Of course, that first season ended up producing a basket full of tomatoes - and that was about it.
In 2014, thanks to a grant from the United Thank Offering, the support of donors, and the dedication of Gravatt staff, the Gravatt Gardens grew into Camp Gravatt Farms and produced over 4,300 pounds of food.
Today, guests at our conference center and summer campers enjoy meals prepared with zucchini, squash, okra, tomatoes, greens, cantaloupe, watermelon, and peppers - all picked daily and fresh as can be!
Our kitchen works throughout the year to preserve a great deal of food so guests can enjoy delicious vegetables and soups throughout the year.
Gravatt is a Fresh on the Menu member and our produce is Certified SC.
