We are a volunteer driven community garden utilizing otherwise unused land generously provided by Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Margate, Florida. Aside from donating at least half of all produce to those in need, we feed the volunteer crew and our supporters from the Green Earth Community Garden. In 2014 we broke ground and partnered with The Fruitful Field, Inc. to facilitate our birth into the non-profit world. Over 300 lbs of organic produce was grown in that inaugural season. We have since incorporated independently and with your support we hope to double the amount of produce grown, donated, and sold. We will have two "shares" for sale to the public this season, as well as a work share, and "a-la-cart" items for sale as available. If you are interested in purchasing one of our CSA shares please contact us as soon as possible. Because this community garden is a coordinated effort, all volunteer work contributions are done on specified workdays. Our Directors will be on hand to explain projects in progress and to welcome you into the work group. "Many hands make light work", is how the saying goes. No experience is needed and no regular commitment required, although we welcome both. Get on our mailing list, get in touch and find out when we'll be gardening. Most of the work is done on Saturdays between 10am-2pm, as well as an hour or two on Wednesday afternoon. Once the harvests begin to come in, there is usually plenty of fresh veggies to share with volunteers. Whether you would like to volunteer, make a charitable contribution, receive regular updates, purchase produce or a CSA please visit our website and join our mailing list or get in contact with us. We look forward to meeting and working with you !
