La Basse Cour

La Basse Cour is a small family farm and bed&breakfast located in the picturesque Western Catskills. Founded by the Hanford family in the mid1800's, the farm has been in almost continuous operation since. Many of the original outbuildings have been restored and are in use today. Farm tours and farm stays welcome. We offer eggs from our pastured hens year round and our all natural farm fresh berries, fruits, vegetables and herbs, our home made breads and pies, our own jams and jellies, plus local honey and maple syrup at our seasonal on-farm stand and store. Our beautiful circa 1850 Greek Revival-style farm house hosts two rooms each with private baths for bed and scruptuous breakfasts made fresh from our eggs and seasonal local fare all year round. Wake up to the roosters, relax here on the farm and walk the pastures brimming with wildlife or enjoy local arts, culture and restaurants. Wireless internet available.
