Groundsel's Westgarden

Groundsel's Westgarden is a old-fashioned, small vegetable farm in southern Napa County, California. We specialize in growing Spanish Basque Peppers for the San Francisco Bay area restaurant trade. These includes the Padron, the Piquillo, Guindilla, Ibarra, Nora and others. We also grow Italian peppers, including sweet Jimmy Nardello, Sweet Cortes, Yellow Crest and many different hot, spicy peppers. For the "southwest" flavor folks we grow *NU-MEX"chillies, Big Jim and Barker's Hot. We also grow 5 different varieties of Tomatoes many different traditional American style vegetables including: spinach, green beans, carrots, and peas ... cucumbers, melons, all thanks to the bees. and Pumpkins ... lots of different kinds of pumpkins. Everything we grow is also available to the public. You can find us this year at the Contra Costa County Farmer's Market, Sun. at Walnut Creek, CA. or the Kensington Farmer's Market on Sun. in Berkeley.
