We practice biodynamic, beyond organic farming. This means no pesticides or herbicides. Our gardens are tilled by the pigs and fertilized naturally with composted manure produced here on the farm. Our potatoes are planted, mulched, weeded, tended, and dug by loving hands. These are truly gems of purple, blue, pink, and gold, unlike any potato available in the store. We have 30 potato varieties that include baby potatoes, fingerlings, and baking potatoes. We offer local pickup and also ship our potatoes nationwide via USPS.
At our farm here in Michigan, you will find the following registered breeds of heritage breed livestock:
Nigerian Dwarf Goats
American Guinea Hogs
We use rotational grazing and foraging paddocks for our animals. They have enough room and freedom to express "the goatness of a goat" or "the pigness of a pig" as Joel Salatin puts it. Kids and piglets are available each spring. Reservations are recommended and can be placed on our website or by email.
