Kinikin Heights Natural Foods is proud to provide the local community with the best quality natural meats possible. All of our animals are: * Raised only on our fresh pastures using management intensive grazing on our fertile grass / alfalfa fields. We never use chemical sprays or artificial fertilizers on our fields * Hormone-Free, Steroid-Free, and Antibiotic-Free * All animals are raised with the highest care and patience taken, always allowing the animals to express their God-given nature. Our meats are available by the pound, quarter or halves. All meat is USDA inspected and flash frozen unless otherwise requested. Our breeding program includes a mix of quality heritage breeds. For our lamb, we use Scottish Cheviot sheep, known for their remarkable meat, and Texel sheep, which add size to our lambs. In short, this isn't your average grocery store lamb. Our lambs are 100% grass fed on our fertile grass / alfalfa pastures. We have converted countless customers who thought they "didn't like lamb."We are sure you'll find this is the best tasting lamb you've ever tasted. We raise 100% grass-fed beef. We are currently shifting gears and bringing Red Devon blood into our Scottish Highland herd. Once again, this is in pursuit of the most desirable product available. We are convinced that the Red Devon is the ultimate breed for a grass-fed operation. They have the remarkable ability to grade USDA Choice on just grass and alfalfa. Try our mouth-watering steaks and see for yourself! Our milk-fed Duroc hogs enjoy rooting in our pastures just as much as the other animals. They are hard at work tilling unimproved areas and returning green vegetation to the soil. We feed them a mix of skim milk from Kinikin Corner Dairy, spent brew grain from Horsefly Brewery, and cracked corn that results in an amazingly flavored meat. Taste it once and I might have to put a lock on my freezer! Our pasture-raised chickens and turkeys are raised outside in the fields and move to fresh pastures every day! In addition to grass and bugs, our chickens and turkeys are fed a custom mix of local corn, soy and wheat. This tastes like chicken used to, this tastes like chicken should! Order ahead (June - October) as this item is almost never in stock.
