Mountain View Vegetables

Mountain View Vegetables is a small vegetable operation, located directly adjacent to Ben Wever Farm (BWF), in Willsboro, NY. I am working in conjunction with the owners of BWF who offer pastured pork, grass-fed beef and lamb, as well as free range chicken and eggs, to complement their freezer trade with a diverse offering of naturally grown produce. All of the above will be available at the farm stand located at 444 Mountain View Drive. The produce will all be organically/naturally grown, although I am not interested in getting certified for either. However, you are always welcome to come and see what I am doing if I am working in the field. I hold transparency in higher regard than a certification and tons of paperwork. I will also be offering weekly veggie boxes for those who fill out a packing form and pay a deposit. You can choose what you want in your box each week depending on what is available. The deposit give me some financial insurance that what I harvest will be sold (similar to a CSA model, but operated on a week-to-week basis, instead of you pre-paying for a whole season.) Additionally, at the end of the growing season, "Winter Caches" will be available. The Winter Cache will include storage crops such as carrots, beets, celeriac, cabbage, winter squash, onions, dried beans, dried herbs, etc, for you to bring home and eat from throughout the winter. The quantity and contents of these boxes will depend on what you would like and how much. Storage information will be provided to you to help ensure your food keeps well.
