The Sunbury Market House is one of the largest indoor markets in the Susquehanna Valley. The Sunbury Market House was built in 1897 by brothers Charles and Isaac Rockefeller who wanted to provide shelter and a centralized location for farmers to sell their wares. The building has functioned nonstop as a market since its construction; approximately 115 years. With the ongoing revitalization of Sunbury, and the successful nature of the Susquehanna Valley, the Sunbury Market House continues to serve Sunbury and its surrounding communities as a source for both locally grown goods and a social atmosphere that the children of today will remember and tell their children of tomorrow. The Market is conveniently located at 436 Market Street in downtown Sunbury and is accessible to all major interstates and highways. Additional parking can be found in the municipal lot at the rear of the market.
