Happy Hills Farm is a small farm just south of Charlotte, NC. We have 4 heritage breed ewe sheep of all ages and sizes and two pet Angora goats and one llama. We specialize in fine fleeces of alpacas, sheep wool and beautiful mohair from our goats. We use their fleeces to handspin yarn and make beautiful soft, luxurious products. All our animals are beautiful and sweet . Some of ours come up for kisses and all are used to people visiting them on our tours. Alpaca fiber and mohair provide us with the finest fiber that is on the planet. That's our opinion. In ancient Peru, only the Incan royalty could wear alpaca fiber. It is very, very soft (as cashmere) and hypoallergenic (unlike all other fibers) and also a natural flame retardant. It is therefore a perfect choice for baby garments and clothing. We sell alpaca hand made baby clothing and processed yarn and roving (for spinners) as well as beautiful hand spun yarn. Come by for a visit to learn more. Felting, spinning and knitting/weaving classes are also taught on the farm. Our farm store is open most days but please call ahead.
