Ybor City Fresh Market

We enjoyed our visit to the Ybor Market, we're looking forward to seeing it grow. There were local vendors offering lots of homemade and hand-crafted items that were delicious and beautiful.

The produce area had a lot to offer and was teeming with people but other than some Ruskin tomatoes nothing was very local - I guess it's just the "off season" for Florida produce. I'm hopeful that when the weather cools we'll see more local growers bringing their goods -- it's their efforts and the community we really want to support!

Overall it was a nice family outing and we came home with some great (and tasty!) items. Again, the market is stlll growing -- it didn't take us very long to get through it. If you're coming from a longer distance I'd suggest planning something else to do in the nearby Ybor or Channelside areas. We recommend it though, we'll definitely go back!
