What our family loves the most is what we refer to as the "mystery vegetable of the week." Like many families we were in a vege rut -- always buying the same, boring assortment of vegetables from our local grocery store week after week. It's exciting to have the opportunity to explore new vegetables that I would have never looked at twice at the grocery store: sorrel, kale, fresh beets, garlic scapes.
While freshness and variety are highest on our family's list of "must haves" for a CSA, the Sippel Family Farm provides a lot of "value adds" that are also important to us. They have a great recipe blog that addresses the specific vegetables they produce and recently provided a chart showing the best way to maintain the vegetables until they're used.
Long story short, I highly recommend the Sippel Family Farm.
