This summer will be our third with the Sippels. We love them and the delicious food we get from their farm! All share items are grown by them on their farm. There is a wide variety of produce and they often grow some new crops from year to year. Soon they'll have blueberries and apples! I appreciate getting vegetables that I'm not sure what to do with becuase it pushes me to learn more and eat a more varied diet. That's important when you're committed to eating seasonally.
Ben and Lisa host monthly potlucks at the farm for members. There is usually a crop waiting to be picked at each potluck so you might also go home with green beans or peas or whatever happens to be ready right then. (Of course you have to be willing to pick those items yourself.) Ben always gives a great tour of the farm and will tell you as much as you want to know about the ins-and-outs of how your CSA food is grown. They offer beef and pork from the animals that they raise on their farm as well.

This year is our first experience with a CSA, and we love it! The Sippels are phenomenal. The vegetables are always fresh and crisp, and we appreciate the wide variety they produce.
What our family loves the most is what we refer to as the "mystery vegetable of the week." Like many families we were in a vege rut -- always buying the same, boring assortment of vegetables from our local grocery store week after week. It's exciting to have the opportunity to explore new vegetables that I would have never looked at twice at the grocery store: sorrel, kale, fresh beets, garlic scapes.
While freshness and variety are highest on our family's list of "must haves" for a CSA, the Sippel Family Farm provides a lot of "value adds" that are also important to us. They have a great recipe blog that addresses the specific vegetables they produce and recently provided a chart showing the best way to maintain the vegetables until they're used.
Long story short, I highly recommend the Sippel Family Farm.

I was a member of the Sippel CSA in 2004. The produce was always top quality. I enjoyed the variety & trying vegetables I had not previously heard of. I highly recommend this CSA.
The only reason I did not continue my membership was because I was getting more fresh vegetables than my family would eat. My husband is not a big vegetable eater, so it was mainly myself & two small children eating the veggies. I'm glad we did it the one year, though, because it greatly improved my children's willingness to eat veggies.
My membership also developed the habit of shopping at the market regularly. I still go frequently, and always stop at the Sippel's stand first. I know I will find high quality variety at a fair price.
