I will give it another go this summer and see if perhaps I simply went on an off weekend.
Sometimes "Big" isn't the most Green option. I like the fact that each vendor was able to sell almost everything they brought to market, making the effort to travel and set up each week sustainable and financially worthwhile. I was able to find everything I needed for a summer's worth of feasts, and was treated to a gathering of happy, healthy neighbors in the process!

Hi Janet, I am also from California, and understand the wanting for a bigger market.Things are not the same out here however as I'm sure you have found out, the market at Princess Anne and Dam Neck Is bigger but not of the same quality. I have been here for 4 years and although it is a small one the Old Beach market is the most like home and the most diverse regular market I have found. I haven't been to Hampton yet but I try to make it to this market early every Saturday. I hope you make it back.
