Rhinebeck Farmers' Market

The Rhinebeck Farmers' Market takes place in a small town in upstate New York and exemplifies how smaller regions can be part of the Big Revolution in slow food, shopping local and supporting small farms. While keeping over-industrialized food businesses at bay in bucolic regions, one still needs to have an economy! How clever of this area, our farmers and the town of Rhinebeck to see the virtue of agri-tourism to support not only our local farms, but by placing the farmers market right in the center of our cozy business district, helping our local merchants as well. Bravo Rhinebeck and all our farmers market participants who stand up instead of selling out.
