Zepp Farm LLC

Our entire experience with Zepp Farm was unpleasant from start to finish. They'd send tantalizing newsletters about what we were going to get, but then not deliver it, including flowers twice. Who can eat flowers? We got a lot of things we either didn't need or didn't like, including baby arguella with leaves that were weren't even 1/2" long, dandelion greens which are very bitter, fruit only twice in 6 weeks and not much of it either. Deliveries were made at the hottest time of the afternoon to sweat in the sweltering heat we've had this summer. So we finally cancelled. After that it took nearly a month of haggling with them to finally get them to honor their contract and give us a refund. It was $40 less than it should have been. Our advice: steer clear. There are plenty of better options around, including CSAs and farmer's markets.

After reading this post, I had to wonder if this was written by one of the Zepp's competitors? Their experience sounds hard to believe. I have to question the motivation of this post as my experience was so radically different. The veggies were consistent, plentiful, and of very high quality. I have and continue to recommend their produce as I have not found anything that compares in terms of price, quality, or convenience. The fact that they delivered to my house was a good thing. It certainly was not their fault that it was a hot summer and I was impressed with how good the produce always looked despite my thermometer saying it was over 90 degrees out. The fact that they would deliver despite that unbearable heat is reason to give kudos, not criticism. I sure didn't want to go out in the heat to the supermarket, and because I was in their CSA, i didn't have to. I am definitely signing up again next season!

As a member for the whole season I can confidently say that this review is not a fair or accurate reflection of the Zepp's or their product. These people sound like they didn't understand that the CSA means you get a variety of items, including some items that are unique or may not be your personal favorite vegetable. They complain about the arugula, but I thought it was tender and delicious. CSAs may not be for everyone, but I don't think this reviewer's issues have anything to do with Zepp farm. And really what kind of person is angry when someone gives them flowers ?
