The Market at Pepper Place

A friend of mine from Florida asked me about my favorite place in Birmingham, and I quickly replied, "Why, the Pepper Place Saturday Market, of course!" I went on to explain that the atmosphere there is so lively and friendly and that buying my produce directly from those who grow it, allows me to feel that I am doing my part to support the local economy and that I am feeding my family well. You can make a morning of the experience, having a leisurely breakfast there, listening to the musicians, and taking in the sights. I eagerly await the opening day of the market each year and am sad to see the end of the season come.
