Beaverton Farmers Market

This is the most amazing Farmers' Market I've ever seen. You'll find every type of fresh regional produce, plus handcrafts like homemade jams and jellies, fresh-harvested mushrooms of amazing variety, fresh baked breads, beeswax candles, local Oregon wines and salmon barely out of the water.

There's a sampling of local and international foods if you're hungry and ready to eat after looking at all that food, and live music to enjoy while you eat it.

I can't imagine a more wonderful place to shop, or a better place to introduce a child to the bounty of the Earth. There's even a glorious fountain for them to splash in after they're tired of walking... and it's right next to Beaverton's remarkable library , in case you want to pick up some books or DVDs after you shop.

I'm a recent transplant to this area from South Dakota (and originally, northern Virginia), and I thought I'd seen farmers markets... but I've never seen anything like this.

Don't miss it!
