Our family loves to buy local and we met MudFoot Farm at the Mt. Washington Farmers Market. We purchased some eggs and whole chickens. We also enjoy taste testing products, so we created a taste test for the eggs, we tested some from another farm and also against the Eggland's Best brand. Hands down the eggs from MudFoot Farm were the best tasting. We fried all the eggs in butter and only one of the four people tasting knew the source of the eggs. The yolks are darker than you may be used to if you usually purchase from the grocery.
We did a similar test with the whole chickens, again the MudFoot Farm chicken won the test. This time we had a dinner party for 8 and everyone agreed that the pasture raised chicken had more flavor than the conventionally raised chicken. I encourage you to give them a call and try the eggs and chickens.
