This is a small new family farm with a new farmer, struggling at times but very interested in doing things right for her animals and for the land. The farm is not organic certified but uses organic farming practices and pasture/grass feeding for animals. The farmer's father died last year and she kind of took a break from farming, which is why this entry went so long without being updated. She has a rather innovative "cow share" program that I really like, and her treatment of animals is very good. Ms. Cox is charming - she will be the first to tell you that she doesn't know everything, and that she's learning, but isn't that precisely the kind of operation we locavores should get behind - someone who went into farming because she loves it and wants to do right by the animals and the land?
