When I read about VR Green Farms on their website, I was really looking forward to visiting and I was planning on joining their CSA program. My husband and I made the drive to San Clemente on Saturday morning and we were extremely disappointed with what we saw. There were a few small baskets with about 3 or 4 different wilted looking vegetables. We arrived very shortly after they "opened", so I really don't think that it had already been picked over. There was no one else there (now I know why) and their tiny garden looked bare, dry and dead.

Ciao Jill. We changed our hours to an earlier opening and there's a good chance we were down to a few items when you stopped by. We apologize for not updating our hours here on LocalHarvest and for your making the trip out to our small farm without success. Can we make it up to you? A jar of our Mango Honey? A bottle of our Mission Olive Oil? We expanded our growing area last May with over 185 tomato plants and 110 zucchini plants alone. Right now we have an abundance of Italian fava bean plants ripening. Hope you'll give us another look.
