Great Saturday morning picking and packing all of the baskets of veggies. I helped pick beans and corn for about an hour and then separated everything into the baskets for everyone to pick up. As we sorted the produce we all chatted, shared recipes, and talked about our families. It was a great experience to be out there with all of the other families and the produce that we took home was incredible.
I used the rosemary in a marinade for chicken on the grill that night. We also had swiss chard & beet greens to go along with our fresh corn. Great meal and knowing that we picked it made it even better.
I'm looking forward to cooking the squash, beets, and more corn this week. I also need to make a salad to use my fresh lettuce!
