Herndon Hills Farm

Went there on 6/19/2010 and 6/26/2010 for blackberries. Good fruit, but it's a very small farm, and the secret's out, so you have to get there early. The parking lot was packed at 8AM, and the blackberries were thoroughly picked out by 9:30 both days. They're delicious, though, and the plants are fairly mature.

They've recently planted a lot of blueberry bushes, and someday they will have huge harvests, but for now they are very small. Good to stop by with the kids and pick a handful, but if you want a whole bucket for a pie, you'll want to go somewhere with larger plants. Blueberries and blackberries were $2.75 per pound.

I picked grapes there in '09 and am looking forward to it this year, but they're not nearly ready yet for 2010.
