Rockmart Farmers Market

Who'd have thought Rockmart would produce a very respectably-sized farmer's market virtually overnight! Kudos to Mecca and Adam for their initiative and dedication to the cause of local growers and good, clean food. The market offers fresh breads and baked goods, soaps and body care products, fresh meats (pork--I bought a pound of smoked bacon, yum!), seasonal vegetables, heirloom tomatoes (I scored a couple of pounds of Hillbilly), field peas (hence the need for the bacon), crafts, jams, jellies, preserves, canned tomatoes, all under the cooling oaks of downtown historic Rockmart.
