Dayspring Farm

It was a very dry and hot summer. The quality of our CSA bags started out very nice. Then the quality went downhill. The vegetables started rotting before they had been in my house and several other CSA shareholders' homes before they had been inside our homes 4 hours. We are CSA shareholders who are very glad that we tried it for one summer, but after considering everything, we've decided that , perhaps, we are not CSA people. We would like to give the extremely hot and dry weather part of the reason that we would not join another CSA again. We also missed going to the local farmers markets to see what was also available. We all missed not having green beans for most of the summer. We think that we prefer other vegetables more than Swiss Chard, Bok Choy, and eggplants which were in our bags many weeks. We (I'm writing for several other shareholders plus myself) sincerely hope that the weather conditions were why we were disappointed. At the end of the season, we all decided that we preferred other vegetables that were not in our weekly bags and that is our primary reason for not signing up again for any CSAs in the future.
