I grew up with large vegetable gardens and fruit trees in MA and VT, so I'm used to, or rather remember, the superior taste of fresh food, but what I've most enjoyed about Barefoot Organics is the exceptional quality and flavor of their heirloom produce, which surpasses the traditionally grown plants that I grew up with - among our favorites were the sweet peaches that seemed to have a butterfat content to them, the orange cherry tomatoes, our first kohlrabi (who knew?), the kabocha that was so sweet, those early onions, all the fruit and greens - and the kale and swiss chard we'd all disliked in the past but now can't wait to have again - every week was great.
