The Growing Experience

I can't even begin to verbalize how much I love the produce and the vibe I get from "The Growing Experience". First of all, it's a tremendous asset to the community, both the area where it's located and Greater Long Beach. The variety of produce has been excellent, really challenging me to "cook out of the box". I've been introduced to several products I'd never eaten, and never would have purchased commercially, but turned out I really like. The quality is also outstanding, even the greens are squeaky clean with no "critters" hitching a ride along. Salad greens are amazing, so fresh and sweet and crunchy. We've had avocados, scallions, broccoli, hearty greens of all sorts, citrus and cabbage through the winter. Can't wait for spring and summer fruits and veggies. And I simply cannot say enough about the eggs. At 50-plus years old, The Growing Experience's eggs showed me that eggs actually have flavor. And all with no chemicals or synthetic fertilizers. It's a hugely positive thing for the community, the staff is fabulous and that I get great, fresh, interesting produce out of it is a nice perq !
