Earthwize Farms Co-op CSA

This was my first experience with this type of farm and while I applaud the effort they are making I am dissapointed in the results. I joined in April (lost two weekends that month) and I expected things to start slowly but I anticipated that it would pick up once June arrived. I have received produce which was past use (peaches already gone) and frankly I have been surprised by the produce delivered. I would expect peaches and corn, cucumbers and tomatoes in most every order. My orders have been heavy on peppers (how many hot peppers can two people use?), beets, squash and eggplant. I realize that it might be better in July and August but I am not willing to take that chance. Frankly, I would expect produce picked at least the day before to be much fresher than what I have received. I can go to local produce stands and farmers markets and do better. I realize that this produce may be organic and I do appreciate what they are trying to do but unless they improve what they are doing it is certainly not worth the cost.
